WHO SAID YOU CAN’T PARTY ON WEEKDAYS? It’s even FREE! Tips for Night life in Hongdae

WHO SAID YOU CAN’T PARTY ON WEEKDAYS?
It’s even FREETips for Night life in Hongdae

If you used to give up dancing in the clubs on weekends because of the crowd, or had to talk by shouting at your friends in pubs, here are some tips for you to enjoy your night even on weekdays!

[FIRST ROUND – FOOD & SOJU]

Drinking is an important part of Korean culture. And there is a variety of an-ju (drinking snacks) in Korea. If you are a soju drinker or just simply interested in trying some of Korean drinking snacks, there are two places you should try tonight.

If you are looking for a cheap place, OK Pocha (OK포차) should be your first choice. All the an-ju starts from 2.900won and you can get so many delicious options with reasonable prices. No matter if you like to drink a lot of soju or not, these dishes would warm you up. They also have many chain stores in many areas in Seoul for you to enjoy!

If you are looking for a more private place for your group or date, you should come to Knock. This is the 24-hour restaurant where you can get a private room with just 5.000won for 2 hours. However, one dish there costs over 18.000won and you would have to order at least 2 dishes on the weekend. Although it is a bit pricey, it is still a good option for your group meetings.

  • Address: 마포구 서교동 358-58 (Mapo-gu, Seogyo-dong, 358-58)

[SECOND ROUND – KARAOKE AND PHOTO BOOTHS]

After the food, you can enjoy tons of entertainment in Hongdae. One of the most popular options for second round is the legendary karaoke! What is better than dancing and singing with your friends in beautiful karaoke rooms? If you are on a budget, there are plenty of coin norebang (karaoke room) where you can sing your heart out with just 1.000won for 4 songs. Or if you have a group of friends, you can get 1 hour of singing as many songs as you want for around 20~30,000won on the weekend after 6pm. Moreover, for saving good memories, there are also many photo booths on the street where you can get small pictures printed out immediately for just 1,000won.

[THIRD ROUND – CLUB TIME!!]

Aside from Itaewon, Hongdae is the most famous areas for night life. There are so many clubs that cost you around 10.000~20.000won for entrance fee during the weekend. But do not worry yet. This article is for giving you some tips on cheap but fun clubbing. The busiest time of the week would be from Wednesday to Saturaday, but you can still have a lot of fun on Monday and Tuesday. Especially, most of the clubs during weekdays give you free entrance before 11pm or 12am. I was amazed with how busy it still was even on a weekday. The most exciting thing is there are some clubs that offer free cocktails! Free drink and free club entrance fee, why not?

The clubs that I have been to:

  1. Sink hole: This is a very popular club with 2 locations which are very close to each other. During the weekdays, if one club closes, the other would be open. Therefore, you can have fun any day of the week! However, after 1pm, the club would be very busy.
  2. Gabbia: This is a hiphop club with great music. The best thing about this club is they offer free drinks on weekdays. The club is not big but they offer great music with a DJ everyday.

Let’s go enjoy your night anytime at never sleeping town Hongdae, you will have a great party that you would never forget!
